Dept. of Communities' Christmas Appeal
Monday, 5 December, 2011 07:31 amThe Queensland Government Department of Communities - who in essence sponsors IHQ though our Sports & Recreation Grant - is holding a Christmas Appeal to support our most vulnerable young Queenslanders. Any gift considered appropriate for a child up to age 17 will be greatly appreciated, including sporting equipment, gift cards, books, clothes, toys and games.
Donations can be made at a local Child Safety Centre or under the Christmas tree in the foyers of 111 George St, 80 George St, 41 Geors St and 61 Mary St Brisbane.
I encourage all members to reflect on how fortunate we are, and if in a position, share the spirit with those that don't have the opportunities we do.
